Karen Cooper

In the 6th Annual Western Artists of America Museum Exhibit in Kerrville, Texas, ASBA Member Karen Cooper won the Gold Award for Dry Medium for her piece titled "Bronc Driver". Also, Karen has been invited by jury into the 2010 Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show and Sale; she is really excited about that!

Karen recently finished another wonderful bovine pastel called "S. Gertrudis" which she had planned to use for a show on the West Coast but the minute the owner of the subject calf saw the work he asked to acquire it, so another artwork went to California instead.

Susan was awarded Best of Show at the Adirondack Pastel Society Show in May (for a cow painting!).

She was also accepted to the Pastel Society of America show for another bovine painting.

Rita won First Place in Pastel and the Sponsor Award at the New Braunfels Art League Gallery special show "Texas" in July. Earlier, in June she won First Place in Pastel in the NBAL "People and Places" show.
