"I feel privileged to be the instrument of our Creator, to be able to execute works that bring enjoyment and insight to others. " That quote sums up Bill's attitude toward the art he fashions with the pigments of the earth and the work of human hands. Although he was interested in art while still a child, it was not until later in life, when an ailing back forced him to give up his farrier business, that he took up the viusal arts and began painting again. Now, years later, he works with oil and canvas to craft paintings that feature the wildlife of North America, the life of the Western cowboy and the Native American. Essentially self-taught, Bill has studied with several members of the Cowboy Artists of America, and he has exhibited his works in invitational shows. Though he has recieved many awards, including best of show, his real joy comes from pleasing his clients and from his conszant drive to steadily improve his work. studio address: 614 Pleasant Valley Dr. N., Boerne, TX 78006 |
