I have had an interest and studied art since I was a child. In high school, I wanted to make art my life's calling. I lived in Rogers, Arkansas and I got to know some of the artists around Eureka Springs. Then life got in the way. I was told by my mother, "Son, this is good but you need a real job." Just after joining the Air Force in 1975 I was approached about an apprenticeship with an artist in New York. He did mostly watercolor. My art took a back seat in life. I would do a painting or a sketch for gives until 2000 when I started to put art back in the front seat. From then until now, I have built my own art studio and have educated myself in art. I have met and gained knowledge and inspiration from other local artists. My art includes oil, acrylic, ink drawings, pencil sketches and more. I do westerns, portraits and many other paintings. I belong to Joplin's Spiva and Art Central at Carthage and I'm now excited to be a member of ASBA. Painted B Studio email: painted_b@yahoo.com |
